Miguel Lacasse is Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, Co-Head of Global Funding & Treasury. With more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, he is responsible for National Bank’s Funding and Treasury strategic management and vision, which include Liquidity and Funding activities, Asset and Liability Management (ALM), Private Investments, Pension Fund Investment activities, Secured Financing, Delta 1 activities and valuation adjustments. He is also playing a strategic role in the growth of all business lines of the Bank with regards to their funding, liquidity and capital requirements.
Prior to his appointment, he was Managing Director and Head of Asset and Liability Management and Funding. In this role, his responsibilities included management of Funding, ALM book, the Fund Transfer Pricing and Securitization for the Bank. He also oversaw the integrated management of the 3 funding centers (Montreal, London, New York) for Corporate Treasury.
Miguel joined the Bank in 1999 and he has successfully held various positions within Corporate Treasury.
Miguel holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master's in Finance (M.Sc.) from Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Montréal (1999) and the CFA designation.
