Testimonials from our Rotation Program Participants
What went into your decision to join National Bank and did the Rotation Program meet your expectations?
I completed my Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Science at HEC Montreal. At the university, senior students are very familiar with the Rotation Program at National Bank. It has a great reputation and I received positive feedback from peers and friends who had previously participated in the program.
The Rotation Program was a challenging, competitive and rewarding experience. It provided me a better understanding of how the business lines interact, operate and fit together within the firm. Rotating throughout the various desks was a valuable learning opportunity, and the knowledge and experience obtained will help me in my current position as an Associate in the Commodities team based in Calgary.

What exposure did you receive to senior leaders of the firm and were you provided with mentors?
I had the opportunity and ability to meet and interact with most members of senior management. They are all very accessible, which is consistent with the open culture of the firm. During our 12 weeks of theoretical training, the presentations were delivered by Managing Directors and Directors from each of the business units. There were also opportunities to make presentations to senior individuals.
As part of the program, I was assigned both a senior and junior mentor. The senior mentor was the Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Head of Derivatives and he was always accessible to me. He provided me with a top down approach of how the firm and Financial Markets operate and a guide for both the program and my career path down the road. It was informative and helpful to receive guidance and advice from a senior leader of the firm.
